Mini paper-weights are quite a simple but essential item in kintsugi practice.  The gold or metallic powder are extremely fine, opening the paper packet is already causing some loss of the precious powder. These solid brass weights are mini in size but hefty in weight, when you may find it difficult to find paper weight that is of this scale. 
 
Lay the paper weights on the open packet to have a stable environment to pick up the fine powder.   It prevents the light-weight paper packaging from bouncing around and spilling the precious powder. 
 
Of course, ensure windows are closed, fans turned off, too!
