In the olden days, kintsugi powder options were only pure gold and pure silver.  As the craft modernized, Japan suppliers started producing fine dust powder with a range of metals so maki-e and urushi artisans have more options for their craft.    However, if you plan to use the repaired pottery for food and beverage, we recommend you use pure gold or pure silver.  
Bronze is NOT recommended for any food-contact surfaces.
