Mr. Masaji Sosogi made this classic-size wood bento box exclusively for Goenne.  Carrying on a heritage of 400 years, Issochi regional style bento box is made with 2 different kinds of woods (cedar and cypress).  It gives the box a whole different level of natural wood aroma. 
 
The outside is protected with food-safe urethane from wear-and-tear, and brings out the difference of the 2 wood colors.  The inside is left in raw wood finish, retaining the lasting aroma of cedar and cypress.  While helping your food to balance moisture, so rice and bread can stay fluffy.  
 
Issochi-style bento box is also more hearty and hefty.  Made with 5mm bent hinoki wood, with a 1.5cm thick cedar lid.  This is especially suitable for restaurant use or if you are the heavy-handed kind. 
 
Comes with one loose divider so you can portion the box according to your food.  This is the standard size box for Japanese lunches, as Western's food portion may be larger, be sure to check the size before ordering. And who said bento box is only made for food? Just be creative. It can be used as storage containers for anything.
