We have asked Kai to make a shorter version of this cypress chopsticks, measuring 18cm in length.  It works well with our bentoboxes, and makes carrying them with the lunch box much easier.   This 18cm chopsticks works well with grown-ups hands as well as children's hands.  
 
Kai started crafting chopticks by hands over a dacade ago. He choose wood that is comfortable to touch, and gives off a natural fragrance. Kai stresses that he never like to add additional finish or stain to wood, in order to respect the material in its original state.   Most people may not think too much about it, but chopsticks is an essential utensil in our daily life (esp in Asia).   Handmade chopsticks makes you think twice about taking care of quality-goods.  
 
The chopstick case and the wood inlay was designed by Kai, expressing his technique and passion as a Daiku (carpenter).
 
Handmade items are produce only in small batches.  Our inventory is small.
We also offer special "name engraving" on the case, we can translate any Western language into Japanese characters. This would make a very unique gift for your special occasion (anniversary, wedding, celebration, New Year... etc. ). So plan ahead and order early!
