Highly recommend this metal spatula for its flexible tip and durability.  One tool serves multiple functions:
 
AS A SCOOP:  Metal Spatula is useful as a scoop for all the clay base power like jinoko and tonoko.  Can also scoop and load gold powder into the powdering tube.
 
AS A PALETTE KNIFE FOR MIXING:  Use it on the glass or paper palette to create sabi and kokuso base paste.   
 
Can even be used to broadly apply kokuso paste to the edges of ceramics shards or to fill in big chipped area. 
 
The metal plate on both ends are thin and flexes.
